These terms are an agreement between you and Supun Praneeth, an independent developer, covering your use of the QuixBus apps and service. QuixBus is a personal project, not a company. By using QuixBus you accept these terms.
QuixBus shows the live position of UK buses on a map, lets you search for services and stops, and lets you save the ones you use. It is free to use.
This is the most important thing on this page, so it is near the top.
Live positions, route information and stop details come from the UK Bus Open Data Service, which is fed by bus operators. QuixBus passes that data on as it arrives. It can be delayed, incomplete, or simply wrong: a bus may not be reporting its position, an operator may not publish data at all, and a vehicle shown on the map may already have moved or been cancelled.
Do not rely on QuixBus where being late matters. For a hospital appointment, a flight, the last bus home, or anything else with real consequences, check with the operator. QuixBus is a convenience, not a timetable guarantee, and not a substitute for the operator's own information.

You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile → Privacy & data. I may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms.

Bus data originates from the Bus Open Data Service and is published under the Open Government Licence. If you want that data, take it from BODS directly rather than through QuixBus.
QuixBus is a side project maintained in my spare time. I aim to keep it running, but I cannot promise it will always be available or uninterrupted. Features may change, be suspended or be withdrawn, and QuixBus depends on services outside my control, including BODS and the mobile app stores.
QuixBus is provided free and "as is". To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for missed buses, missed connections, missed appointments, wasted travel costs, or any other loss arising from your reliance on information in the app.
Nothing here limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you use QuixBus as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
I may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and significant changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use QuixBus after a change means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
